SUMMARY:Handgun 202- Holster skills
DESCRIPTION:This is a follow up holster skills class where prior holster skills are required.  We will be working on refining your process and further developing it.  Our goal is to help you become as efficient as possible.  This session will take place on an open range\, which means on a firing line\, no stalls\, and hot.  Get live fire reps in under the supervision of an instructor and go beyond what you can normally do on a public range.  A large variety of rental firearms and holsters are available with advance notice.  Students will need 200(minimum) rounds of ammo\, eye and ear protection and appropriate range attire.

Each phase and medical recommendation of the military TCCC guidelines was examined and discussed by the Committee\, and then was re-written\, annotated\, or removed through consensus voting of the Guidelines Committee to create civilian specific\, civilian appropriate guidance. DESCRIPTION:When it comes to defensive shooting\, can you identify the vital areas on the human body from any angle?  Based on the proven “Shooting with X-Ray Vision” curriculum\, Intro to Tactical Anatomy focuses on teaching how to identify the vital areas to hit in a 360 degree environment\, because life isn’t like a shooting range where we will always face the target head on.  This will be a blend of classroom and live fire\, and will also include a special exercise using a Non Lethal Training Ammunition pistol shooting an anatomical 3D target. \nThis is not an introductory course. DESCRIPTION:Performance on demand is going to focus on the mental and physical process of pressing the trigger.  This clinic is all range time\, all slow fire\, and all on B-8 targets between 10 and 25 yards.This will be a primer on achieving excellence and absolute accountability and accuracy.    The objective of this course is to get the student to understand the process of moving the trigger without moving the gun and how that process can change at various distances.  This is not a beginner course; You should have a good understanding of the fundamentals of shooting and be able to operate from the holster safely. \nRequired equipment:\nHearing and eye protection; electronic hearing protection recommended. \nHolster of quality manufacture; no Serpa style\, floppy leather\, belly bands\, or soft sided nylon holsters allowed \nnote taking materials \nSharpie or equivalent permanent marker for scoring targets \n

DESCRIPTION:This holster skills clinic.  You must have some basic safety training\, NRA pistol\, IL ccw\, etc… We will cover aspects of holster work from square 1\, no prior holster skill required.  This session will take place on an open range\, which means on a firing line\, no stalls\, and hot.  Get live fire reps in under the supervision of an instructor and go beyond what you can normally do on a public range.  A large variety of rental firearms and holsters are available with advance notice.  Students will need 200 rounds of ammo\, eye and ear protection and appropriate range attire.

SUMMARY:Force on Force- So You Think You Can Carry
DESCRIPTION:So You Think You Can Carry! An intro to decision making under stress  \nDo you carry a firearm for self-defense? Have you ever thought about what might happen if you have to use it?  \nSo You Think You Can Carry! is a six hour scenario based course designed to expose the concealed carrier to the responsibility of decision-making during a high stress\, shooter situation. The focus of the class is not on shooting\, but rather on decision making. The goal is to guide the responsible concealed carrier through the decision-making process before\, during and after a violent encounter involving a firearm.  \nThis class is a force on force experience where the student will participate in four different instructor-led scenarios. These scenarios will consist of common situations that a concealed carrier might encounter in their everyday lives. Students will utilize simulated pistols that fire 6mm plastic projectiles. These projectiles allow for realistic simulation of gunshots in a safe learning environment. All force on force equipment is provided by us. In addition to the scenarios\, students will also learn about use of force law\, contact with the authorities\, post engagement\, and a brief medical demonstration.  \nTo maintain a safe training environment no real weapons (guns\, ammo\, knives\, or any other weapon) will be allowed in the building. All students will be subject to inspection for weapons or potentially dangerous items before being allowed into the training area. Flashlights that do not have sharp teeth or heads are allowed and encouraged. Students will need to wear long pants and a long-sleeved shirt. Gloves are optional but recommended. Face and eye protection are provided by us but students can use their own pending approval by the instructors. \n\n\n\n\nThe size of the class is limited to 12 students to make sure everyone gets quality instruction and feedback.  **LUNCH WILL BE PROVIDED by Archetype of the Gun**

DESCRIPTION:The Committee for Tactical Emergency Casualty Care used the military battlefield guidelines of Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) as an evidenced based starting point in the development of civilian specific medical guidelines for high threat operations. Each phase and medical recommendation of the military TCCC guidelines was examined and discussed by the Committee\, and then was re-written\, annotated\, or removed through consensus voting of the Guidelines Committee to create civilian specific\, civilian appropriate guidance. Additionally\, the Committee added and/or put specific emphasis on several medical recommendations not included in TCCC to address high threat operational aspects unique to civilian operations. \nActive Bystander – Empowered community members\, who are present in the event but not so severely injured that they cannot assist others\, can serve a critical role during the initial moments after complex and dynamic disasters. They must have immediate access to severely injured victims and can provide time-sensitive\, life-saving interventions; they are the first link in the trauma chain of survival. \nCourse Content– \n\nSafety\nCommunication\nAssessment\nTreatment of traumatic injuries including gunshot wounds\, stabbings\, and blast injuries.\nOngoing care and management of patients.\nGear selection
