DESCRIPTION:**Eventbrite link at bottom left of this page** \nCOGNITIVE PISTOL W/ TACTICAL ANATOMY \n\n\nAbout this event\n\n\n\nThis course emphasizes thinking with the pistol and is intended for intermediate and advanced shooters. The course will feature a series of drills with increasing complexity that will make the shooter think while running their pistol. The course uses turning targets\, steel targets\, and 3-D targets to create challenges. The use of visual start signals and the need to process visual information before shooting is emphasized. The goal is to make the shooter work and solve problems under “cognitive load” or “task load” instead of raw technical shooting skill. \nAnother teaching tool in this process is the use of tactical anatomy. Tactical anatomy teaches the shooter how to place the most effective fight stopping hits under the reality of three-dimensional targets. The class will feature anatomically correct\, three-dimensional targets that must be engaged correctly and under realistic time limits. \nRound Count: Minimal round count is ~200 rounds. Some portions of the course allow for extra shooting based on the student’s interest\, ability\, and ammunition availability. Up to 250 rounds could be fired in the course but are not required. \nPre-Requisites: Students need to already be competent and safe gun handlers. They must be able to load/unload\, present/reholster safely\, perform reloads\, reduce malfunctions\, etc. \nWhile anyone capable of safely running their handgun will benefit from the class\, the most benefit will be achieved by those who can already shoot well. Since accurate shooting will be emphasized – the ability to place 5 rounds in a 5” circle from five yards in less than five seconds is the recommended\, but not required\, standard. \nTuition includes all range fees. \nNOTE: Eventbrite calculates and collects the sales tax it deems applicable. Though this is not a formal class\, coaching will occur where necessary as it pertains to each drill. Previous formal training is required as this is not meant for first time shooters. You will need to be comfortable with gun safety\, operation of your gun\, and use of a holster if you plan on drawing the gun from one.\nStudents will need:\n150 rounds of ammo at minimum\n3 mags\nA safe holster that allows for one handed use\nRange appropriate safety gear including eye and ear protection\nRange/ weather appropriate clothing.

DESCRIPTION:**ticket link at bottom in details tab**\nCourse Duration: 2 Days\nCourse Requirements: Open Enrollment | End User\nThere are bad days at the office… and then there are really\, really bad days at the office. “Well\, That Sucks” explores the latter. Students will learn to employ the handgun and carbine while problem solving different simulated injuries. Improvised aide\, TQ application and evacuation are worked through then performed on demand under stress. Communication\, teamwork\, movement\, accelerated manipulations and task vs. priority all play a major role in this course. This is NOT a basic or beginners’ course and is physically demanding; please come prepared. \nIndividual Equipment List:\n\nHandgun with at least 3 magazines (5 if single stack) and magazine pouch.\nHolster must attach via the belt (paddle holsters are not allowed). Holsters must provide an active or passive retention device and be able to keep the holster in place while running or moving in and out of awkward positions. No SERPA or Vanguard type holsters.\nCarbine with sling. A minimum of 3 magazines and a method to secure them is required. Carbine needs to be zeroed prior to class.\n400 rounds handgun / 300 rounds carbine (no green tip)\nCAT or SOF T TQ on your person is mandatory an IFAK is recommended.\nCleaning kit and gun lube.\nEye protection and electronic ear protection.\nLong sleeve shirt\, gloves\, knee pads and elbow pads are optional.\nFull duty belt / tactical loadout or Concealed carry (your normal work / carry setup).\nNotepad\, pen and perm marker.\nWater and snacks.\n\n\nCourse Prerequisites:\n\nU.S. Citizen.\nAble to legally carry a firearm.\nAble to demonstrate and employ safe weapons handling during courses of fire.\nPrevious intermediate to advanced firearms training to include courses of fire where movement\, barricades\, working around others\, communicating and adverse shooting positions were addressed.\n\nIf you have any questions about the course\, the prerequisites or what is recommended please do not hesitate to ask us.
