Though this is not a formal class\, coaching will occur where necessary as it pertains to each drill. Previous formal training is required as this is not meant for first time shooters. You will need to be comfortable with gun safety\, operation of your gun\, and be safe coming out of and going back to a holster.  If you do not have holster experience\, please visit the Shore Galleries website and sign up for an Intro to Shooting Drills class. \nTHE SIG SAUER P320 WILL NO LONGER BE ALLOWED IN ARCHETYPE OF THE GUN CLASSES. CONTACT US IF YOU NEED A LOANER GUN FOR THE CLASS. \nStudents will need: \n\n150 rounds of ammo at minimum\n3 mags\nA safe holster that allows for one handed use (Blackhawk Serpa or similar holsters are not allowed in AOTG classes).\nRange appropriate safety gear including eye and ear protection\nRange/ weather appropriate clothing.

SUMMARY:So You Think You Can Carry- Force on Force
DESCRIPTION:So You Think You Can Carry! An intro to decision making under stress  \nDo you carry a firearm for self-defense? Have you ever thought about what might happen if you have to use it?  \nSo You Think You Can Carry! is a six hour scenario based course designed to expose the concealed carrier to the responsibility of decision-making during a high stress\, shooter situation. The focus of the class is not on shooting\, but rather on decision making. The goal is to guide the responsible concealed carrier through the decision-making process before\, during and after a violent encounter involving a firearm.  \nThis class is a force on force experience where the student will participate in four different instructor-led scenarios. These scenarios will consist of common situations that a concealed carrier might encounter in their everyday lives. Students will utilize simulated pistols that fire 6mm plastic projectiles. These projectiles allow for realistic simulation of gunshots in a safe learning environment. All force on force equipment is provided by us. In addition to the scenarios\, students will also learn about use of force law\, contact with the authorities\, post engagement\, and a brief medical demonstration.  \nTo maintain a safe training environment no real weapons (guns\, ammo\, knives\, or any other weapon) will be allowed in the building. All students will be subject to inspection for weapons or potentially dangerous items before being allowed into the training area. Flashlights that do not have sharp teeth or heads are allowed and encouraged. Students will need to wear long pants and a long-sleeved shirt. Gloves are optional but recommended. Face and eye protection are provided by us but students can use their own pending approval by the instructors. \n\n\n\n\nThe size of the class is limited to 12 students to make sure everyone gets quality instruction and feedback.  **LUNCH WILL BE PROVIDED by Archetype of the Gun**
